Scupper plugs can be used to plug the scupper holes in the cockpit and rear tankwell, preventing water from splashing up through the scupper holes, helping you stay drier while you are paddling. They are not required but are suggest especially in colder conditions or if the kayak is being weighed down with a heavy load.
